Discover the number 1 destination on the travel list – Luxor – the city of the living and the dead!
Luxor is home to the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved temples of ancient Egypt. The Temple of Karnak, the largest ancient religious site known worldwide. Karnak is a place that every visitor to Egypt should see. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man. This monumental complex stands as a testament to the achievements of ancient builders. It is here that we truly witness the power of the pharaohs.
Another highlight of the tour is the Colossi of Memnon. These are two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III. They are the only remnants of what was once the largest complex on the west bank, built by Amenhotep III.
The most anticipated moment – visiting the Valley of the Kings – the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty. The tombs of the kings are located here, including those of the great pharaoh Ramesses II and pharaoh Tutankhamun. According to ancient beliefs, the tomb should contain all material goods and artifacts so that the rulers could use them in the afterlife. Most of the interiors of the tombs are still well-preserved.
