Luxor is home to:

• The Temple of Hatshepsut: One of the most beautiful and best-preserved temples of ancient Egypt.
• The Temple of Karnak: The largest ancient religious site in the world. Karnak is a must-see for any visitor to Egypt. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man, a monumental achievement showcasing the power of the pharaohs.
• The Colossi of Memnon: Two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These are the only remnants of what was once the largest complex on the west bank, built by Amenhotep III.
• The Valley of the Kings: The most anticipated moment – exploring the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasties. The tombs of great pharaohs, including Ramses II and Tutankhamun, are located here. According to ancient beliefs, the tombs were to contain all the material goods and artifacts needed by the rulers for their journey to eternity. Most of the tomb interiors remain well-preserved.
