Marsa Mubarak & Marsa El Shuna
Explore Tours
Marsa Mubarak in English means coral garden. This bay is located 20 minutes away from the village of the same name. It is home to the most beautiful coral reefs in the area.
Marine Life:
Marsa Mubarak is famous for the frequent appearance of sea turtles and dugongs, also known as sea cows or sirens. This species was discovered in 1741 by naturalist Georg Wilhelm Steller during the Bering expedition. Dugongs are large marine mammals, reaching up to 4 meters in length and weighing up to 500 kg. They feed on seagrass, hence the name sea cows. Dugongs are endangered and belong to protected species.
Snorkeling:
Snorkeling in the bay’s waters is conducted under the supervision of a local snorkeling instructor who is very familiar with the waters and equipped with a lifebuoy. There is also the possibility of scuba diving; you can inquire about this option when booking the trip.
Ship Facilities:
The ship used for the excursion has two levels. The lower level features a platform for snorkeling and a dining area. The upper deck has sofas and tables where you can enjoy hot and cold beverages. Sun lovers will find a great spot for sunbathing here.
